This is by leagues the best Indian food we have found in the Portland area. It is deeply authentic; no shortcuts. The food arrives at the perfect temperature, the flavors are exactly correct, and only the server speaks much English at all. The Chai tastes like the chai we had in India. The entrees are generous and loaded with ground nuts for body, rather than flour. They have Gujjar Halvah which they make the proper way. Give yourself a huge gift and visit this restaurant. It will change your view of Indian food, no matter how good it is already.

We visited for dinner on October 8th. Being huge fans of Indian cuisine, we have been waiting to try this place since we first saw the sign go up. We were not disappointed. We ordered the Hara Bhara Kebab, Samosa Chat, Pappadums, and a Tali plate with the Chettinad curry. Everything was delicious! We also felt like it was a fair value for the money. Though we did not drink, they have a bar and offer beer and wine as well. The atmosphere is comfortable and the restaurant is very clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will absolutely be back!

We visited for dinner and ordered several dishes to share, so we could all try the different flavors: Royal Malai Kofta Palak Paneer Desi Masala Fried Rice Lehsuni Naan They were all delicious! If I had to choose one favorite, it would be the Malai Kofta. My partner's favorite was the Palak Paneer, and our kiddo loved the fried rice, although we agreed every dish was fantastic! Curry flavors are top-notch. We specified "very little" spice level, and that's what we got. The service was good too, promptly noticing and bringing another carafe of water when ours ran low. Highly recommended!

Finally a high quality Indian restaurant in the Camas area. Chettinad chicken curry was cooked perfectly and had a kick. Naan was excellent. Presentation was on point. Service was friendly and responsive. Will be back.

Trying the food at Virasat has been on my to-do list since they opened and finally my husband and I got to stop in for lunch yesterday. The food was fantastic! We ordered the Butter Chicken (it smelled so good we started eating before I could get a picture) the Chili Chicken, and some garlic naan. The chicken was tender in both dishes and the sauces were fragrant, lovely, and delicious! I can’t wait to try everything on the menu.

I wish my stomach was bigger so I could eat more of their food. Everything was fantastic and you can tell that it was made fresh. We got the Aalu Papdi Chaat - absolutely amazing flavors! Highly recommend coming here! Be patient with waiting on the food. I promise it’s worth it.
